Open Enrollment Health Insurance Policies
Individual health insurance is an open enrollment health insurance policy that is provided to individuals and families who are not insured by a group policy. Because this is a personal policy, not offered by an employer, the insurance premium is usually much higher than group policies. These types of policies are offered to individuals who do not qualify for a group plan at their work or self-employed professionals.
To find an enrollment health insurance policy, you just need to do some searching around online and offline. There are dozens of insurance companies just waiting to insure you and your family. When applying for health insurance, you will be required to answer pages and pages of health questions and possibly have a medical examination to show proof of your current health.
One downside of enrollment health insurance companies is, they have the ability to reject your application if they feel that you are not insurable. There is also a chance that they will insure you, but attach a bunch of limitations like no prescription medication coverage or other things.
Once you get quotes from some of the different companies, you can choose the company who rates best meet your financial and health needs.
